Dr. Suut Gokturk is a gastroenterologist at University Hospital (UH) Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. NJ. Dr Gokturk completed his advanced endoscopy fellowship at Rutgers University. He earned his medical degree from Istanbul Medical School, where he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology. Dr. Gokturk undertook an additional residency in Internal Medicine at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York.
Dr. Gokturk's clinical expertise lies in advanced endoscopic interventions. His areas of interest include Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM), and bariatric endoscopy. He also performs general gastrointestinal procedures, including esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy. With a strong commitment to patient care and medical education, Dr. Gokturk is dedicated to advancing the field of gastroenterology through both innovative procedures and the training of future healthcare professionals.
Dr. Gokturk is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
