Overview
As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, my research spans the realm of clinical trials, epidemiology,
and translational bench research using the placenta as a model for the pregnancy environment to
assess how maternal stress and the effects of exogenously administration of antenatal
glucocorticoids can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes and fetal programming through epigenetic
modifications. I also have a passion for community outreach and implementation science to serve
marginalized peoples with innovative technologies and programs which promote healthy mothers,
healthy babies, healthy families, and healthy communities.
