Dr. Miriam Habiel is the newest full-time Assistant Professor to the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Habiel obtained her undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University and her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry medical College in Nashville, TN. Dr. Habiel interned at Stony Brook Hospital and was Chief Resident of her ophthalmology program at New York Medical College before becoming an assistant professor at Rutgers. Dr. Habiel specializes in Glaucoma and participates in leading research within the field.
