Pierre Maldjian, MD, Radiology Residency Program Director and Professor of Radiology, received his medical degree from Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey and a fellowship in Body Imaging at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Maldjian's areas of expertise include thoracic imaging, cardiac computed tomography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and curricular development in thoracic and cardiac imaging for education of trainees. Dr. Maldjian is well known to regional radiology programs as a frequent guest speaker and for his comprehensive curricula in thoracic and cardiac imaging. He has received many awards for excellence in teaching. Dr. Maldjian has authored numerous publications in radiology journals and presentations at international radiological society meetings. Dr. Maldjian is a member of the Society of Thoracic Radiology and The North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging.
Dr. Maldjian's most recent publications have involved imaging of rare vascular anomalies of the thorax, unusual thoracic traumatic findings and congenital heart disease in adults.
