Overview

A captain in the United States Air Force, Medical Corps, Dr. Plafker joined the
Rutgers community in 1972 as a Clinical Instructor of Pathology. He currently is a
Clinical Assistant professor within the department. He is a graduate of City College
of New York, earning his Bachelor of Science degree and a graduate of
State University of New York Downstate Medical Center where he earned his medical
degree.

He is affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center, Jersey City Medical Center, and
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he is the medical director of the Blood Bank.
