Inessa Goldman, MD is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Rutgers NJMS and Section Head of Abdominal Imaging. A graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Jacobi Medical Center/AECOM, where she served as Chief resident and went on to Body Imaging Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She pursued a career in academic radiology practicing both Body and Emergency Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center, prior to joining Rutgers NJMS.
Dr. Goldman's areas of interests include oncologic, acute surgical, and obstetric imaging. A member of multiple multidisciplinary Tumor Boards and an expert in imaging of neuroendocrine, hepatobiliary, gastric, colorectal and gynecologic cancers. She also specializes in all aspects of infertility-related imaging, and in use of MRI in obstetric conditions, specifically in placenta accreta spectrum disorders. Dr. Goldman has lectured nationally and internationally on this topic, most recently as an invited panelist at the AJR virtual forum. She authored multiple peer-reviewed articles published in leading imaging journals on this and other topics.
An active member of the Society of Abdominal Radiology, Dr. Goldman taught many didactic workshops at SAR national meetings and currently serves on the Disease-Focused Panel for Neuroendocrine Tumors. At University Hospital, Dr. Goldman actively supports growth of a prostate cancer program by providing lesion targeting for fusion-guided prostate biopsies.
Dr. Goldman is passionate about teaching and actively mentors residents and students. She is a recipient of a prestigious Howard Jacobson Teacher of the Year Award in 2017-2018 and is a nominee for a Golden Apple Teaching Award in 2021-2022.
