A Newark native, Dr. Jasmine Huerta received an MS in Biomedical Science from Rutgers as well as an MPA in Health Policy & Management from NYU prior to completing her medical education at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Boston University/Boston Medical Center where she stayed on for an additional year to complete a fellowship in Quality Improvement & Patient Safety. She completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Columbia University/NewYork Presbyterian before returning to her hometown as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.
