Overview
Dr. Hillen obtained her medical degree from the State University of Groningen in the
Netherlands. She graduated from the Rutgers-NJMS Neurology residency, after which
she completed a 2 year fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology under the
guidance of Dr. Stuart D. Cook.
She has been at Rutgers-NJMS and University Hospital since 2004, and she currently
is Chief of Service in Neurology at University Hospital and the Vice Chair in the
Department of Neurology. She is the Director of the Adult Neurology Clinic at
University Hospital. She is the neurologist of the Samuel L. Bailey University
Huntington's Disease Family Service Center and the New Jersey Medical School
Sarcoidosis Center. She has received numerous teaching awards. She participates in
clinical trails for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and Huntington's Disease.
