Dr. Iris Herrera completed her Internal Medicine Program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, she is an associate professor of Internal Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She is the Chief Medical Information Officer for University Hospital. Born in the Dominican Republic, she immigrated to Newark, NJ at the age of nine. Her experiences growing up in Newark served as a catalyst for working in areas where her cultural background is an asset in better serving the community. ?It?s wonderful to be able to communicate with a patient in their native language.
