Dr. Adam D. Fox is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He is a Trauma Attending at Eric Munoz Trauma Center at University Hospital, Newark, NJ and Medical Director of JEMSTAR Air Medical Program. Dr. Fox graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, NY and completed his general surgery residency at Christiana Care Health Services in Newark, DE. He then went on to complete his fellowship in the Division of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Fox is an instructor and course director for multiple trauma and critical care related courses. He is a Supervisory Medical Officer of the Trauma Critical Care Team (TCCT) of the National Disaster Medical System and an active member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Occupational Medicine, Newark SWAT Medical Team in addition to providing medical care and education. He is also an active member of the 2020 Novel Coronavirus Response-Air Evacuation Team, National Disaster Medical System (NDMS). Dr. Fox has provided surgical care on multiple medical missions around the world. Dr. Fox sits on the editorial board of several journals and is the author of multiple journal articles and has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally. His interests include leadership in trauma, education, and global trauma and disaster response.
