Dr. Adam D Fox is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma at the New Jersey Medical School. He is the Trama Medical Director at Eric Mu??oz Trauma Center at University and Medical Director of JEMSTAR Airmedical Program. Dr. Fox graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, NY and completed his general surgery residency at Christiana Care Health Services in Newark, DE. He completed his fellowship at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in the Division of Traumatology and Surgical Critical Care.
Dr. Fox is an Associate Member of the ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators and holds leadership positions in national organizations including but not limited to American College of Surgeons-Board of Governor, American College of Surgeons (NJ Chapter) President, American Association for the Surgery of Trauma Disaster Committee Chair.
He is a Medical Officer with the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), as well as a member of the International Medical Surgical Response Team (IMSuRT) and Mobile Acute Care Strike Team (MAC-ST). In addition, Dr. Fox has provided surgical care on multiple medical missions around the world and has provided medical care and education to the Newark FBI SWAT Team. He serves on the editorial board of several journals and is the author of multiple journal articles. Dr. Fox has presented at conferences regionally, nationally and internationally.
