O. Folorunsho (Flo) Edobor-Osula, MD, MPH, is a board certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Rutgers North Jersey Orthopaedic Institute (RNJOI), and an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (RNJMS). In addition to her role in the department and the medical school, Dr. Osula is also an attending physician at University Hospital, Newark, NJ, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston NJ, St. Joseph's Medical Center, Patterson, NJ, and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (Children's Hospital of New Jersey), Newark, NJ.
Dr. Osula completed a clinical fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. She completed her orthopaedic residency at the Northwell Health - Hofstra School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College where she graduated with honors in science and service. She also received the Sandra Lee Shaw Memorial award, in recognition of her commitment to medical research. In addition, she received the prestigious Axelrod Scholarship from the University of Albany School of Public Health where she received a Master's in Public Health. Her bachelor's degree in Public Health/Natural Sciences, was earned at the Johns Hopkins University, where she played four years of Varsity Women's Basketball.
Dr. Osula has authored several peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and abstracts. She also serves as a guest speaker and mentor for the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program sponsored by Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She is also the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NJMS.
Her professional affiliations include - American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
Dr. Osula's special interests include limb lengthening & deformity, hip disorders, cerebral palsy, pediatric trauma, sports medicine, and disorders of the foot & ankle.
