Dr. Chyn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at Rutgers Health New Jersey Medical School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in 2009 from University of British Columbia. He received his Doctor of Medicine in 2013 from St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2016 at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Queens Hospital Center Program and Geriatric Fellowship in 2017 at the Mount Sinai Hospital
Dr. Chyn has been a Faculty member at the New Jersey Medical School since 2020. He initiated the first geriatric care and consultation clinic, housed within the Ambulatory Care Center. He initiated the first inpatient geriatrics consultation service within the University Hospital System.
