Eugenio Capitle received his medical training at Manila Central University, Philippines. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center and then went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at New Jersey Medical School, followed by additional fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Capitle is a board-certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy/Immunology, and Rheumatology and he has been an Assistant Professor at NJMS since 2009. His clinical interests include: Asthma; autoimmune diseases of the skin, lung, nose and eyes; Rheumatoid arthritis; Systemic lupus; spondyloarthopathy; Inflammatory muscle diseases; Sjogren's Syndrome and Vasculitis.
He is the Primary Investigator of a number of IRB-approved projects including:
1. An In Vitro Method to Study Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Mediated Suppression of Pollen-Induced Lymphocyte Proliferation in Subjects With Allergic Rhinitis.
2. Effect of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Upon In Vitro Dust Mite Induced Lymphocyte Proliferation From Subjects With Allergic Asthma Related to Dust Mite Exposure
3. The Effect of Leukotoxin Upon Activated Lymphocyte from Subjects With Asthma
