Dr. Dym attended CUNY-Brooklyn College for his undergraduate degree and moved to the Bronx for medical school at
Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to beginning medical school, he spent two years at the Brooklyn Hospital Center
as the Medical Simulation Lab Manager where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the medical
situation training curriculum for multiple specialities, with a focus on Emergency Medicine and Pediatric medical simulation
and education.
Throughout his time at Einstein, he continued his involvement in medical simulation/education research working within the
Critical Care Medicine department at Montefiore hospital. He spent and additional year at Einstein as a Research Fellow
during which he developed numerous projects focusing on the utilization of medical simulation training as a modality to
improve Critical Care clinical and teamwork performance. Dr. Dym then went on to complete his Emergency Medicine
residency training at Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was involved in multiple quality
improvement and ED operations projects.
