Overview

Tolga Taneli, MD, is an Assistant Professor. He is Director and Training Director, Division of Child
and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is ABPN board-certified in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry, and Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Taneli's interests include Attention-Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Tourette syndrome (TS), autism spectrum disorders, mood
disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). In addition to an outpatient practice, he is
responsible for the consultation/liaison (psychosomatic medicine) service. Dr. Taneli also has
interest in environmental and behavioral architecture, particularly in healthcare settings and has
had training in psychopharmacology with experience in clinical drug trials. He trained in New York
City. Dr. Taneli worked in rural Maine before coming to UMDNJ.
