Nicole Guanci, MD, is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and the Assistant Director of the Psychiatry Residency Training Program. She currently works in Psychiatric Emergency Services at University Hospital.
Dr. Guanci received her B.A. in Biological Sciences from Cornell University in 2005, and her M.D. from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2010. She continued in a psychiatry residency at Rutgers NJMS, where she served as chief resident during her PGY-IV year. Following residency, she completed her fellowship at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Training Program of Columbia and Cornel Universities in 2016.
Dr. Guanci?s primary interest is emergency psychiatry, involving both adult and child/adolescent populations. She is especially interested in education, with both medical students and residents. She is actively involved in contributing to and mentoring with regard to scholarly activity within the training program and on a national level, with peer-reviewed journal articles, workshops, and lectures on the subject
